Detail-Oriented Draftsman with 15+ years of experience working with various AutoDesk & CAD Related Software. Project Planning and Production Leadership experience of over 4+ years.
Growing up I watched my Father and Grandfather both meticulously survey, plan, document and build various designs. I learned best practices as I grew up, and why they were imperative to the success to any sized project. In high school I gravitated towards the planning and documentation phase, becoming increasingly motivated as I learned more about Computer Aided Drafting.
Over a decade later I still retain the same passion for drafting and design work meticulously documenting and improving designs before they are commissioned. Seeing the opportunities for material cost savings, improved structural design, or an application for new to market products are some of the reasons I retain the same drive as it helps the client and company save time, labor, and materials. It stems from the desire to help people, both in visualizing the idea they had in mind as well as collaborating to improve that idea.
I have had the great opportunity to continue drafting when I am able, but to step into the role of Project Management and help projects succeed on more than one level. This has helped me analyze budgetary constrictions and alternative solutions for projects to ensure client and production goals are met. I have been the Production manager for woodworking projects both in shop and field applications, which has also aided in my skillsets to help drafting clearly communicate particular aspects, and when time savings can be achieved by in production decisions. This has also helped me grow as a leader, by not only helping guide my team through tough challenges- but also knowing when to step into the trenches to help our team achieve goals when the odds aren't favorable.
